Distributions
Distributions are used to weight dimension items against each other. This is important for planning. One use case is the seasonality of months. A factor or percentage value for each month is determined from the actual data. These percentages are then used to distribute an annual value to the months (top-down planning).

Factor
A distribution consists of dimension items. Not all items need to be used. Each item has a factor. The factor is used to distribute an input value across the items.
Example
In this example, the sum per sold product is calculated per year.

The sums are converted into percentages and stored in a distribution.

Later, the planning year sum 2000000 is entered. The distribution distributes the input value over the items according to the factor.
